What music style do you play?
Drum & bass is my passion, breakbeat’s an interest and I dabble in rock-cum-pop/indie-danceness when I’m feeling cheesy.
What equipment did you use to create this mix?
Serato SL3 with 2x1210s and vinyl controllers (used the program to run some loops), a third turntable playing vinyl all run through my Denon DNX1500S mixer which has a mighty fine in-built assignable FX unit for filters and the like.
What is your favourite producer and/or label?
Always such a tough question… in recent years Alix Perez has covered styles seamlessly and made some elegant yet tough tunes. Label-wise I think Commercial Suicide and Hospital are consistent and quality big-guns, though ‘smaller’ ones like Integral, Revolution, Deep Soul Music, Fokuz, Fokuz Ltd, Horizons, etc are doing great things. Oh, and dBridge’s Exit music for its sideways thinking.
