Where are you based?
In the basement of a hotel in sunny Llandudno, North Wales. It has it’s benefits, such as being able to make weird noises really loud for hours, a full English Breakfast every day and a choice of cabaret entertainment I regularly use for vocals in my trax :).
What music style do you play?
Without sounding ‘cliche’, somewhere in the middle of techno and house. Kind of a ‘rough and ready’ style, anything timeless and raw sounding that isn’t the height of fashion and that hasn’t been created with bongo’s from sample CD’s like a lot of the tech house mediocrity about at the moment. Phew! Some description!
What equipment did you use to create this mix?
2 x technics 1210’s, a pioneer DJM 600, some crackly vinyl, Traktor Scratch, some FX, 4 ready rolled golden virginia cigarettes and an Argos filter coffee machine.
What is your favourite producer and/or label?
Mmmm, that is a good question. Label wise it would have to be between Osgut Ton and Clone records, both labels are killing it at the moment. With regards to artists, a tasteful battle between Mike Dehnert, Levon Vincent and Jerome Sydenham wouldn’t go a miss, the ladies can request a ring with ropes and some mud if they fancy…
